Vladimir received his education from the Moscow State Conservatory, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and the Higher Courses for Screenwriters and Directors.

  This diverse background has provided him with expertise in all facets of filmmaking: from screenwriting and directing to film editing, sound design, and music composition.

   Vladimir has created six short films, including TERRA VISIONIS and UNSPOKEN, which have been featured in numerous prestigious international festivals such as Hollyshorts and the Los Angeles Short Film Festival.

 

SOVIETLAND marks Vladimir Podgoretsky's debut as a feature-length film director.
